Landscape Assistant Crew Lead
to assist the Crew Lead in leading an efficient and productive crew, ensuring quality products and services while maintaining open communication with the foremen and crew members. Reporting to the foreman and Director of Operations, the Assistant Crew Lead will assist with the implementation of landscape plans, install projects, inspect construction work, and solve problems.
Requirements
Be honest, respectful, self‑motivated, and organized
Motivate people
Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
Learn materials, methods, and skills used in various landscaping common to the Midwest region
Ability to proficiently operate various machinery
Have a good driving record
Pass DOT drug screen
Obtain a class A driver's license within 30 days of placement
Read, speak, and understand English
Job Functions
Consult with crew lead on issues concerning landscape project and plan specifications
Communicate with people diverse in language, ability, educational levels, and experience
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, efficiency, and customer service
Assist foreman in motivating crew members for excellence
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
Ability to traverse over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces
