Bartender (Full Time Seasonal 2026)

The responsibilities include but are not limited to taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food to guests according to resort specifications, and assisting with maintenance and cleaning of the restaurant area. Perform all duties and adhere to the Food & Beverage Service Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, service techniques, and guest interaction.
Be familiar with all resort services/features and local attractions to assist guests.
Greets all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness, maintaining positive relations.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, resolve complaints and ensure satisfaction.
Take guest food & beverage orders using suggestive upselling techniques.
Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and facilities accurately in a friendly manner. Provide high-level service per standards.
Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables to dishwashing area.
Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive displays.
Plan, organize, and control operations of a cocktail lounge or bar.
Plan bar menus and create drink recipes.
Obtain assigned bank, ensure accuracy, keep bank secure.
Present guests’ checks, process payments, adhere to cash handling policies, balance receipts.
Order or requisition liquors and supplies.
Develop relationships with guests; communicate with staff to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain professional relationships with co-workers.
Resolve guest complaints and concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Answer outlet phone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
Follow checklists and standard operating procedures.
Prepare work area for opening, mid‑shift, or closing per company standards. Complete side work during non‑busy hours.
Clean bars, work areas, tables, glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas and proper food handling.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage menu items, including liquor brands, beers, and non‑alcoholic selections.
Comply with all department policies, service procedures, and standards.
Serve alcoholic beverages appropriately per company standards.
Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, especially in service to minors, intoxicated guests, and drunk driving.
Limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by persuading them to stop, or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons.
Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
Continuously increase knowledge of food, beverages, and related products and services.
Perform related tasks and functions as requested by manager.
May perform a combination of additional supportive functions; percentages determined by manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
At least 18 years old.
Excellent people skills and outgoing personality.
Team player.
Maintains a current state alcohol serving permit.
Flexible shift and schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs, move up to 150 lbs with wheeled assistance.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend for long periods.
Must demonstrate competency as outlined in training schedule.
Service‑minded individual with a positive attitude who enjoys helping others.
Quick on feet, adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly.
Computer literate.
Can handle criticism.
Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience required, preferably as Bartender. High school diploma preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptable. Ability to obtain Food Service Sanitation certification. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. All employees must maintain neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance per specific standards.
