Sterile Processing Tech
Pride Health is hiring for a Sterile Processing Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Worcester, MA. This is a contractual opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to hospital policies and
AAMI/AORN standards .
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, proper function, and defects; identify and remove damaged items from circulation.
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment including
autoclaves, ultrasonic washers, and low-temperature sterilizers .
Accurately assemble surgical case carts and instrument sets based on surgeon preference cards and procedure schedules.
Perform documentation and tracking of sterilization loads using computerized tracking systems.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety regulations, and departmental quality standards.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of sterile supplies and instruments to operating rooms and clinical areas.
Respond promptly to urgent or add-on surgical requests to support OR efficiency.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of sterile processing equipment and work areas.
Collaborate with OR staff, nurses, and surgical teams to resolve instrument issues and ensure case readiness.
Licensure, Experience, and/or Certification Required:
HSPA or CBSPD required
Minimum 2 years of experience
