The Part-Time Intake Worker will provide supervision and intake of clients, maintaining security, and providing supportive services.
The schedule for this position is as follows:
Fridays 6:00PM - 1:00AM
Saturdays 3:00PM - 11:00PM
Sundays 3:00PM - 11:00PM
About the role:
Conducts intake interviews for new shelter residents.
Monitors room assignments and distributes basic necessities.
Provides necessary supervision of shelter and residents, assuring that rules and policies are being followed.
Assist with client need, refer to case manager as appropriate.
Provide de-escalation and crisis response.
Answers telephone calls, taking messages when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness of shelter common areas.
Assist with food service preparations and serving.
Ensures shift is documented according to procedures.
Performs room inspections.
Supervises volunteers, when assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications: N/A
Experience: Experience working with the homeless population desirable
