Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage team is hiring for a Kitchen Helper at Tampa Bay Girls Academy in Tampa, Florida.
Tampa Bay Girls Academy – Secure is comprised of multiple co‑located residential commitment programs serving high‑risk and max‑risk female youth ages 12–21. These programs utilize evidence‑based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling.
Responsibilities
Maintain the entire dining and food‑preparation facility in a constant state of sanitary acceptance.
Cover kitchen, dining room, all storage areas, outside areas, refuse areas, garbage cans, and all loading docks.
Ensure all areas meet or exceed Federal, State, and local sanitation requirements.
Clean and maintain small wares and food‑preparation equipment while providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and guests.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Food‑handler’s license.
At least 21 years of age.
Ability to pass a criminal‑background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test, and successfully pass a search of the child‑abuse central registry.
Compliance with youth‑care safety standards.
