Job Summary/Basic Functions The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Gari Melchers Home & Studio Grounds & Maintenance Assistant. The Grounds Assistant helps maintain the museum grounds and gardens, and assists with routine equipment and building repairs and upkeep.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

Ability to operate power and hand landscape maintenance equipment and tools.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions, and build understanding of procedures for working at an historic site.

Required Experience

Experience using power and hand landscape maintenance equipment and tools.

Required Education

High school graduate or equivalent.

Additional Considerations KSAs

Ability to work independently as needed.

Ability to maintain equipment and tools, and knowledge of lawn maintenance practices.

Must have reliable transportation and be able to work consecutive days.
