OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR COOKS (FT) 2nd shift 10am-6pm EVERY Thursday-Monday Laurel Heights Hospital is a 112-bed facility located in Atlanta, GA. We are dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self‑responsibility and personal growth. We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents who present with a broad range of psychiatric, behavioral disorders, and autism. A clinically skilled multidisciplinary team works to partner with the youth and family to accomplish their goals in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

COOKS

Responsibilities

Maintain self‑control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions.

Concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.

Consistently meet deadlines and finish all food preparation at the specified serving time.

Be flexible in work hours to meet patient and organization operating needs.

Read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products.

Read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments.

Use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers and dishwashers.

Work independently in a restricted physical environment for extended periods of time.

Perform several tasks concurrently.

Maintain highly confidential information.

Qualifications Four years’ working experience as a cook in a similar setting.

Maintain self‑control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions.

Adjust recipes to achieve desired results.

Read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products.

Read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments.

Use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers and dishwashers; understand essential hygiene factors involved in food preparation and cleansing surfaces.

Work independently in a restricted physical environment for extended periods of time.

Perform several tasks concurrently.

Maintain highly confidential information.
