Job Description
ATHLETIC COACH REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
JOB GOAL: To effectively manage/operate/coach.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES Specific Duties:
Responsible for the sound operation and supervision of the activity they sponsor.
Provide mature leadership and guidance to the students.
Responsible for interpreting the philosophy of the extracurricular program to the members of the activity.
Responsible for maintaining behavior of members at activity meetings, practices, or events.
Make appropriate recommendations regarding good conduct at activity functions.
Maintain a cooperative spirit with other members of the faculty.
Inform parents of schedules prior to season.
Do not schedule weekend practices without prior approval of Principals.
Pre‑approve all purchases and transportation requests at least two weeks in advance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Yearly based on activity/club/sport. Salary to be arranged by the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance based evaluation annually by Building Principal in accordance with Board of Education Regulations.
