Conducts quality group exercise classes in the areas of cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and muscular endurance with warm-up and cool-down for each class, with emphasis placed on patron service and the retention and promotion of quality programs in the LSPR system.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**1. Plans and leads quality exercise classes.2. Maintains safety in all classes by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures.3. Evaluates fitness classes through observation and direct contact with participants as well as through the use of written surveys.4. Set up equipment and stores securely after completion of classes.5. Maintains cleanliness of the fitness area.6. Keeps attendance records of patrons in class.7. Check the instructor bulletin board for updates.8. Assures proper equipment is available for each program; inspects equipment for damage or disrepair, removes from service as needed, and advises appropriate LSPR staff.9. Evaluate and make recommendations for the purchase of new or replacement fitness equipment.10. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.11. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR.12.
