POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as a cross functional support for our members. The staff is responsible for greeting members on the wellness floor and assisting members when needed. This position requires knowledge of equipment on the wellness floor.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position: including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS The position is mainly in a gym environment. Position requires physical activity working with members. Minimal desk-sitting and administrative work required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Willing to initiate and build effective and positive relationships with members
Demonstrate/coach members on the proper use of all equipment
Works to ensure member safety and enjoyment
Assist with housekeeping/maintenance of all areas used to ensure cleanliness
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Accepts and demonstrates the Character Development Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
Actively participates and supports the annual scholarship campaign
Ability to communicate effectively
Detail oriented
Possess strong organizational skills
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
CPR and First Aid Certification (within 30 days)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
