In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to support our members, ensure a safe and clean environment, and promote a positive gym culture.
Responsibilities
Provide friendly, engaging customer service to members and guests.
Assist members with equipment use and exercise guidance.
Monitor the gym floor for safety, cleanliness, and support a welcoming atmosphere.
Keep all equipment clean and organized, ensuring it’s ready for use by members.
Report any equipment issues for repair to maintain a safe environment.
Conduct facility tours for potential new members, showcasing all the Y has to offer.
Assist in promoting YMCA programs, events, and services to members.

Qualifications
Current Certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
Experience: Previous experience in fitness or a related field required.
Preferred Qualification: Personal Training certification.
Physical Demands The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, swim and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
