DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented

Skilled Technician - Level II – SHOP

to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

by performing skilled repairs, troubleshooting downtime issues, and contributing to root‑cause and failure‑analysis efforts.

by documenting work clearly and providing valuable feedback to refine maintenance strategies.

Support smooth production flow

by maintaining an organized workspace, completing housekeeping tasks, and responding quickly to equipment needs.

Reduce manufacturing constraints

by collaborating with peers to solve problems, streamline processes, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Strengthen team performance

by communicating effectively, completing required training, and actively contributing to TPM activities that improve safety, quality, and material flow.

Education/Experience High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Additional Information Support all areas of ATF, including ISX Assembly, ISM/12L Assembly, Test and FPM as a member of the ATF Support Team.

Key responsibilities will focus on the following items:

Lead and support improvements to PC-based systems in ATF including Test Cells, ECM.

Programming, ETS Stands, Failsafing processes, and eSBM.

Actively participate in the MCR, ER and Deviation processes.

Review documents for any impacts that will affect functionality of production systems.

Maintain the fail-safe tracking system. Support Automation HMI and PLC Systems.

Install and support Ethernet communication to PC or PLC based equipment.

Ability/willingness to troubleshoot engine harness for Test systems or specify design for new.

Develop and maintain the eSBM system.

Actively participate in the Maximo Work Order process.

Actively support New Product build processes.

Technical Skills & Experience/Key Competencies

Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Basic understanding of product structure.

Good understanding of the engine build process through-out ATF.

Basic electrical skills, must obtain NFPA 70E/Arc Flash Certification.

Experience with Oracle Discoverer Reports is desired.

Experience with Maximo, Ariba, Concur, and TRN’s is desired.

Knowledge of PLC programming for fail-safes is a plus.

Compensation Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
