Diesel Technician - Level II

Responsibilities
Complete troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.
Perform preventive maintenance based on engine assessment, utilizing computers/software for diagnostic work.
Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Complete required documentation such as work completed documents, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or our business system.
Participate in ongoing training and obtain additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to supervisor.
Key Responsibilities Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs; disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines or components; perform preventive maintenance based on engine assessment; assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and repair plan development; complete required documentation; maintain work area and tools; adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies; report issues to supervisor.

Education, Licenses, Certifications Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
Locally Valid Driving Permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Qualifications DOT compliance: a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire, requires a 21‑year‑old licensed holder with a 5‑year motor vehicle report free from major violations, a current valid license, and a DOT physical. 3 years driving experience, subject to Hours of Service and electronic log use.
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.
A current valid license is required for this role.
This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
3 years driving experience.
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
