Job Overview
Riley Crossing is one of our newest senior living/child care communities located in Chanhassen, MN, near Hwy 101 and County Road 212. It hosts 134 units of Independent/Assisted Living, Enhanced, and Memory Care in total. This location offers a on-site intergenerational childcare center which includes interactive programming with our senior residents. Under the direction of the Teacher and supervision of the Child Care Director, the Assistant Teacher assists in supervising and engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. The Assistant Teacher helps maintain classroom routines and supports the overall goals of the child care program during staff absences.
This early education teaching position includes:
80 hours per two weeks

Responsibilities:
Assist the Teacher in supervising and caring for children in assigned age groups (infants, toddlers, preschool, or school-age, if applicable).
Support implementation of daily activities, curriculum, and classroom routines as directed.
Ensure the health, hygiene, and safety of children, including adherence to universal precautions and first aid protocols.
Communicate respectfully and appropriately with staff, children, and families.
Follow directions for transitions, activities, and engagement strategies set by the Lead Teacher.
Participate in classroom setup, clean-up, and child development support as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Must meet Substitute Assistant Teacher qualifications under Minnesota Rule 9503.0033
Less than 1 year experience in early childhood education or licensed child care
Pediatric CPR within 90 Days
