What are the hours and pay? 1st Shift: 5:55AM-4PM Monday-Thursday, plus overtime as needed
Base Pay: $15.75 per hour
What is the job?
Produce daily job assignment as assigned by departmental Supervisor or Line Leader
Handle parts to avoid surface damage.
Operate with limited supervision and prioritize work functions
Responsible for producing quality parts, primarily visual, and first inspection of product.
Accountable for quality and productivity goals.
Communicate problems, concerns and/or needs with internal customers.
Communicate with Supervisor, Quality Engineers, and other departmental employees on opposite shifts, if appropriate, in regards to production, quality, problems, and/or other related information.
Communicate with other members of the line in troubleshooting of problems.
Communicate and initiate action for defects detected in inspection functions.
Ensure that the job and setup are run according to procedures.
Ensure that the job is run in environmental compliance after instructions from Supervisor/Environmental Group.
Perform routine housekeeping in work area as necessary.
Any and all other tasks/duties assigned by the Supervisor
What do you bring to the job? High school graduate preferred but not required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and customer expectations.
Able to work effectively with others.
Be experienced in production environment in meeting schedules and rates.
Understanding of packaging and assembly technology
Excitement to learn a new skill
Tendency to follow set instructions
Strong attention to detail
Proven team player
Strong work record in safety, quality, and dependability.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee will encounter to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Repeated lifting, packing of items (3 to 6 lbs.).
Requires some heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs. of a non-repetitive nature.
Work with sharp tools and sharp edges on parts.
Must work as part of a work team.
Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for time periods in excess of one (1) hour.
Requires some sort of repetitive turning and/or lifting motions to be performed
Work overtime as needed
Work with pressure of meeting schedules, personnel issues, changing priorities.
Work with all levels of employees.
Perform position requirements while wearing eye, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn including but not limited to: eyes, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
