Overview
Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of craft and staff training programs for Black & Veatch construction professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and project goals. Oversee the deployment and delivery of tools and technology training for construction teams, including the effective utilization of project management software such as InEight and Procore. Drive initiatives that enhance workforce competency, improve operational efficiency, and promote consistent adoption of digital solutions across all construction projects. Our hybrid work approach allows our employees to work two days a week from other locations outside of the office. This position may require up to 50% travel. Key Responsibilities
Leads the design and development of content for related trainings. Tracking and reporting of training for staff training and development. Coordinate training efforts across Black & Veatch divisions to support a ONE B&V approach. Identify training gaps and create and implement training programs. Staff and craft training for tools, processes and procedures. Support rollout of new tools and technology to support construction. Identify different platforms to train field employees (i.e. in person, online, train the trainer). Partner with Safety, HR, Quality and support organization. Management Responsibilities
Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years field execution experience. Knowledge of Black & Veatch construction execution procedures, processes and tools. Knowledge of NCCER training requirements. Presentation skills. Communicates effectively. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 8 years project operations or relevant experience. Minimum 5 years training experience. Knowledge of Black & Veatch construction execution procedures, processes and tools. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Work Environment/Physical Demands
