DSCA Instructor – San Antonio, TX
Salary: $80,000/year | Full-time | Onsite at Fort Sam Houston

Our client, a mission‑driven organization delivering advanced training and simulation solutions, is seeking a
DSCA Instructor
to support military and government personnel in classroom and operational environments. This is a full‑time opportunity based at
Fort Sam Houston
in
San Antonio, TX , where you'll directly contribute to Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) training programs.
What You’ll Do
Deliver classroom instruction and hands‑on training for DSCA Phase II, TASC, and CCFSPCC courses.
Serve as course coordinator for Phase II resident instruction, including planning, guest speaker engagement, and curriculum support.
Support virtual and in‑person training events, including equipment setup and AV/IT support.
Create and maintain course materials such as lesson plans, instructor books, and handouts.
Research and publish DSCA continuing education.
Assist with classroom setup and administration for all course offerings, locally and during TDY travel.
Evaluate student performance through exams and feedback surveys.
Review and update DSCA Phase I online curriculum.
Support U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Army North training initiatives, including Mobile Training Teams and seminars.
What You Bring
3+ years of DSCA operational experience within the last 7 years (JTF and/or Defense Coordinating Element level).
2+ years of military classroom instruction experience.
Completion of FEMA IS‑100, 200, 700, and 800b courses.
Successful completion of DSCA Phase I & II courses.
Ability to pass the ARNORTH instructor certification program.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Earth, and Microsoft Teams.
U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel as needed (TDY).
