The Housekeeping Supervisor provides community leadership and supervision in cleaning, laundry, waste removal, and recycling, meeting company standards to ensure safe and clean living environments for residents. They lead the housekeeping department—scheduling, training, coaching, motivating—ensuring compliance with sanitation and infection‑control standards and fostering a culture of respect, excellence, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities
Hire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring procedures follow established policies. Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, resident interaction, and emergency response protocols. Delegate duties to housekeeping teams daily, weekly, or monthly. Supervise housekeeping staff as they perform duties, maintaining high standards of service. Manage housekeeping supply inventory and order within budget guidelines. Coordinate deep cleaning projects and support move‑in and move‑out transitions efficiently. Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure seamless resident experience. Respond promptly to resident and family concerns with professionalism and a service‑oriented approach. Perform or assist with cleaning resident apartments and common areas as needed. Follow safety precautions and infection control, adhering to all Cogir policies and procedures. Candidate Qualifications
Education and Certificates
High school diploma or GED is required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience, Competencies, and Skills
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality. Strong leadership and team‑building skills. Knowledge of infection prevention and cleaning protocols in a residential care environment. Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with OSHA, state health department, and senior living regulations is a plus. Salary
