Veterinary Receptionist
Hiram Animal Hospital is hiring a full‑time veterinary receptionist. This position is open for applicants with experience in veterinary or medical front desk operations.
Salary : $17.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule : Rotating 3‑day shifts (open to close), every other Saturday, or a half‑day during the week.

What to Expect As a front‑desk professional you will be the knowledgeable, welcoming face of Hiram Animal Hospital. Your role helps ensure smoother appointments, stronger client relationships, and better patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact: greet clients and pets, complete sign‑in, confirm appointment details, and reassure clients.
Support clinical flow: escort clients to exam rooms and relay key information between clients and clinical staff.
Manage client communications: handle incoming calls, appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and outbound reminders.
Operate with accuracy: process payments, manage invoicing, and schedule future appointments.
Speak the language: understand and communicate clearly about vaccines, lab tests, procedures, pet behavior, and veterinary terminology.
Create a welcoming space: maintain a clean, organized, and client‑ready environment, occasionally assisting with pet‑related clean‑up.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical or veterinary front‑desk, receptionist, or administrative assistant role.
Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
Comfort discussing sensitive topics (e.g., end‑of‑life care, financial matters) with empathy.
Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.
