Shop Crane Tech Trainee – The Manitowoc Company
The Shop Crane Tech Trainee role assists the shop with various assigned duties and supports the Service Manager at the Dallas, Texas branch of MGX Equipment Services. Key Responsibilities
Assists shop technicians in inspections and repairs under the guidance of the Service Manager. Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Experience as a general laborer or yard worker within construction or heavy equipment industry preferred. Mechanical background with related experience with electrical and hydraulics. Self‑starter with initiative to advance and a desire to provide excellent customer service. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record. May be required to travel to other locations for cross‑training. Health & Safety
Perform job functions safely. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.). Know and follow established safety and health procedures and rules. Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency. Bring safety issues and suggestions to management’s attention. Working Conditions
This full‑time position has typical hours 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions. Applicants will work in environments with exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors and loud noises. Physical demands include frequent lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Vision needs include close, distance and color vision, peripheral and depth perception. Benefits
