Job Summary The Welcome Center Coordinator serves as the primary hospitality and front-desk receptionist for the Whitlock Building and Welcome Center. This position ensures that both prospective and current students, along with families, alumni, and campus visitors, are welcomed and supported with professionalism and care. The Coordinator organizes visit logistics, manages daily operations, supervises student workers, and provides administrative support to create a seamless, high-quality experience that reflects EKU's mission and values.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Two years of related experience in hospitality, customer service, office administration, or event coordination. Experience in university admissions is welcomed. Supervisory experience preferred.
Job Duties
30% - Serve as the primary receptionist and hospitality lead for the Welcome Center, welcoming prospective and current students, families, alumni, and visitors. Provide check-in services, wayfinding assistance, and general university information in a professional and supportive manner. - (Essential)
25% - Organize, schedule, and coordinate campus visits, including logistics for prospective student visits, faculty/staff meetings, student panels, group visits, and tours. Ensure smooth transitions between scheduled activities and high-quality visitor experiences. - (Essential)
20% - Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of student workers. Provide coaching, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery. - (Essential)
15% - Provide administrative and operational support for the Welcome Center, including inventory management of print and promotional materials, space and room scheduling, records management, and communication with campus partners. - (Essential)
10% - Track and monitor visit registrations, attendance, and visitor feedback. Generate reports and use data to anticipate upcoming needs, support continuous improvement, and contribute to divisional enrollment and retention strategies. - (Essential)
