Join the team at Hometown Collision Center as a Paint Prepper or Paint Helper. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously preparing vehicles for the priming and painting processes, ensuring all surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly prepped for paint application. You will take ownership of the final product by carefully inspecting the clear coat for any defects and collaborating closely with the painter to address and repair any imperfections. Additionally, you may assist with detailing vehicles during final quality checks prior to delivery. Your keen attention to detail and dedication to quality will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.
Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Inspect surfaces for defects and report any issues to the painting team.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with painters and technicians to meet production deadlines.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during surface preparation.
Requirements
Previous experience in automotive paint preparation or related field is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production shop environment with attention to detail.
Ability to follow directionsand ask for guidance inside of a controlled production schedule
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
Benefits
Competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $25.00+ per hour, paid semi-monthly. DOE
