JOB SUMMARY Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and exhaust hoods.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required skills and knowledge
6 months of experience in commercial cleaning and safe chemical use.
Ability to learn current occupational safety standards, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain a Class II Gaming License.
Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
Must have excellent guest service skills.
Preferred skills and knowledge
Experience in commercial kitchen cleaning.
Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely climb and work from a ladder.
Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
Knowledge of casino promotions.
Responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining the appearance of kitchen equipment and food preparation areas.
General and deep cleaning of equipment including, but not limited to, gas fryers, stove tops, griddles, steamers, grills, and ovens.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble parts of major kitchen equipment.
Degrease and general cleaning of food preparation areas including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and detailing of kitchen areas.
Degrease exhaust hoods.
Identifies and reports an irregular, hazardous, or unsafe conditions.
May also serve as a backup Custodial Worker cleaning public area of the Casino as needed and requested by the Custodial Shift Supervisor on duty.
Perform other duties in the casino as assigned by the Custodial Shift Supervisor.
Must be able to work with others from the department as a team.
