Job Description Chemlford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancies for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Position: Lunch/ Recess Aide Location: Harrington Elementary School

Job Goal: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment. Duties include supervising students during recess and lunch periods.

During the lunch period: provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials, cleaning tables, and monitoring social interactions. At recess: closely monitor students for safety, social interactions and appropriate play.

The successful candidate will work on a team of 8 recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times, assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom, office, and library with miscellaneous tasks.

Job Requirements

Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Experience working with children.

Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the elementary level.

Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.
