Role Mission

IDEA Co-Teachers learn instructional strategies and develop their teaching skills to provide highly effective instruction to IDEA students. They implement Direct Instruction Curriculum (DI) and are responsible for student instruction under the guidance of an IDEA teacher and assistant principal of instruction. DI co‑teachers use clear instruction and always teach to mastery, ensuring students grasp content before moving on. Groups are organized by level so every student can learn at their own pace. What We Offer

Compensation

Hourly rate ranging from $16.05 to $23.17 (based on experience level). Earnings are paid out over a 12‑month period. Other Benefits

Paid Family Leave: up to 8 weeks for birth or adoption, based on tenure and caregiver designation. Tuition Reimbursement: up to 50% of tuition toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 per year (subject to manager discretion and budget). Employee‑Paid Mental/Behavioral Health: 5 face‑to‑face counseling sessions per year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work‑life services at no cost. Qualifications

Education: At least 48 college credits or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year institution. Experience: 1+ year working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting. Knowledge and Skills

Ability to master and implement the Direct Instruction Curriculum. Ability to instruct students and manage behavior. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Capacity to adapt to various school‑environment situations. What You’ll Do -- Accountabilities

Responsibilities

Assist in students’ educational development under classroom teachers’ guidance. Help maintain student records. Successfully implement the Direct Instruction (DI) Curriculum. Participate in lesson practice and delivery of the DI Curriculum. Communicate students’ progress weekly with students and families. Implement a clear behavior‑management system aligned with campus initiatives while fostering character and community. Shape a schoolwide culture that encourages productive, enthusiastic learning. Maintain a cooperative relationship with students and families based on trust and respect. Host tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs. Participate in weekly manager check‑ins, grade‑level meetings, before/after‑school duties, and school‑wide meetings. Engage in summer and year‑long district, school, and personal professional learning. Commit to a minimum of 40+ hours per week at school. Additional duties may include after‑school tutoring or Saturday school, depending on scholars’ needs. We Look For Team and Family Values
