Lead Cook at C. Ellet's Steakhouse
We are looking for Lead Cooks to join the culinary brigade at our steakhouse.
Our Lead Cooks make $20-26 per hour based on experience.

C. Ellet’s pays homage to the great American steakhouses and Chef Hopkins’ time spent cooking in New Orleans. From fast-paced game days to relaxed private dining experiences, C. Ellet’s is a convivial place for all to gather and celebrate.
What is the Job? As a lead cook, you will work closely with the back of house team to ensure the consistency and deliciousness of all menu items, following our carefully tailored recipes each and every time. You will assist in setting up and maintaining stations, preparing food, and working in tandem with the rest of the culinary team. You will be responsible for ensuring food quality and timeliness, constantly communicating ticket times and inventory with your Chefs.
Open availability to AM and PM shifts is essential.
What are the responsibilities?
Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes, steak temperatures, and production times
Preparing food for service
Set up and maintain a clean, organized station according to brand standards
Compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Work as a team player, helping your fellow team with guest interactions and bar duties to contribute to a positive working environment
Able to prioritize multiple tasks and openly communicate with your manager and fellow service team about next steps
Consistent adherence to the uniform policy
Reports for duty on time and manages one’s shift, communicating with the management team when leaving their station for breaks or family meal

Can not only work their station, but can work every station. The Lead Line Cook should be able to guide and support other cooks in running their stations, acting asan ally to their Sous Chefs and Executive Chef

Works constructively with their teammates, celebrating one another and lending a helping hand
Possesses excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritize

What are the requirements?
Must be 18 years of age or older
4+ year(s) of culinary experience
Food safety knowledge
Advanced knife skills
Able to move and/or lift heavier product of up to 50 pounds
Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels
Able to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and effectively
