Are you passionate about cooking? Would you like to work with a IKA culinary Olympic winner? Our executive chef is in search of new cooks to join his team. We are looking for an experienced line cook and you will have a chance to advance in your culinary career.
Reports to: Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, Sous Chefs
Skills Excellent culinary skills to include different cooking technics, food preparation, meat and seafood fabrication, ala minute cooking, cleaning and sanitation
Job Summary Cooks are responsible for the daily production of food to include preparation, cooking, and presentation of food. Cooks are responsible for the organization, cleaning, and sanitation of working stations.
Essential Duties
Must have the ability to work at any station for all daily meal periods
Ability to bake cakes and bread
Have a good knowledge of continental cuisine
Understand how to portion fish, poultry, and seafood
Know how to prepare sauces and salad dressings
Be able to re-stock the station for the next day
Know how to requisition food for any type of station
Breakdown and clean station
Clean and sanitize working area
Know how to create a preparation list for the different stations to include part levels
Check with the Sous Chef before clocking out
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of similar experience in a professional kitchen or a college degree in Culinary Arts
