Role The Lead Assistant Golf Professional / Pro Shop Supervisor is an integral part of our golf facility's daily operations. This position is responsible for managing the Golf Shop, overseeing Toptracer services, supporting group events and tournaments, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is service‑driven, passionate about golf, and committed to upholding the highest operational standards.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Event & Tournament Support
Coordinate and execute group golf and Toptracer events, including tournaments, leagues, and special outings
Participate in pre‑event planning meetings to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction
Assist with scoring, pairings, and on‑course logistics during events
Golf Shop Management
Supervise daily Golf Shop operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional environment
Oversee inventory control, merchandising, and product displays to maximize sales and enhance guest experience
Process transactions accurately and manage point‑of‑sale systems
Guest Experience & Service
Create a welcoming, service‑focused atmosphere for all members and guests
Communicate daily play rules, course conditions, and special notices to staff and players
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and concerns
Instruction & Player Development
Provide golf instruction for individuals and groups across all skill levels
Develop lesson plans and clinics to promote player improvement and engagement
Stay current with teaching techniques and technology to enhance instructional programs
Operational Support
Manage tee sheets and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient play flow
Notify the Golf Operations Manager and Director of Golf about any notable changes in course conditions
Assist in training and mentoring Golf Shop and Customer Service staff

Qualifications
Robust teaching ability for both individual and group golf lessons
Strong leadership skills with the ability to uphold the professional image of a Golf Professional
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Outgoing personality with a genuine passion for golf and guest engagement
Previous experience in retail operations, preferably within a golf setting
Proficiency in computer systems, point‑of‑sale software, and basic accounting practices
Commitment to the game of golf and actively pursuing or holding PGA Class A certification
Preferred Attributes
Experience with Toptracer technology and event coordination
Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and merchandising trends
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
