Kitchen Manager – Help Shape the Kitchen at Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe At the Rook Room, we’re more than just a place to eat and play—we’re building a hub for creativity, connection, and community. As we open our new location, we’re looking for a Kitchen Manager ready to lead with purpose and build a kitchen that’s as fun and welcoming as our game shelves.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up. You’ll help define systems, set the tone for food quality and culture, and lead a team where collaboration, innovation, and a shared love of hospitality shine through in every plate.
What You’ll Do
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff with a focus on growth and teamwork
Develop and refine processes that support consistency, creativity, and speed
Collaborate on menu development and ensure meals match the vibe of our space
Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen environment
Partner with the FOH team to deliver a smooth and delightful guest experience
Monitor expenses and contribute to financial performance goals
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in kitchen leadership or supervisory roles
Proven skills in team development, food safety, and kitchen operations
A creative eye for menu design and quality presentation
ServSafe Food Manager / Alcohol Certification (required)
CPR/First Aid (preferred)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
