Job Summary
Join a fast‑paced team where great food and great service go hand in hand. As a Food Service Worker, you’ll help prepare and serve meals in a Long‑Term Care Facility, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure every resident and guest feels welcome. What You’ll Do
Assist with the preparation and serving of food items according to standardized recipes and menus
Set up and maintain service stations with appropriate supplies and food items throughout meal periods
Operate equipment such as grills, ovens, slicers, and dishwashing machines safely and correctly
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety protocols
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines and procedures
Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests; respond to questions and accommodate special requests as appropriate
Restock supplies and assist with inventory control as needed
Support the overall success of the dining operation by working collaboratively with the culinary and service team
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
High School Diploma/GED
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related field is a plus
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional special events
ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Physical And Sensory Requirements
This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
