This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely preparation, transportation, and delivery of feed and related products to customers using company-owned non-CDL delivery vehicles. The role focuses on order preparation, material handling, customer delivery, and basic equipment operation while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service. Key Roles
Accurately prepare customer orders for delivery, including bagged feed, pallets, and related products. Load and unload pallets and materials using forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with safety procedures. Verify product quantities and delivery documentation prior to departure. Safely operate a company-owned non-CDL flatbed or delivery truck. Deliver feed and related products in a timely and professional manner. Secure loads properly to prevent damage or loss during transport. Navigate rural routes, gravel roads, and customer properties safely. Obtain customer signatures and ensure accurate completion of delivery paperwork. Provide courteous, professional service to customers during deliveries. Communicate delivery issues, delays, or product concerns to the Feed Operations Manager. Represent Top Ag Cooperative in a positive and professional manner at all times. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles. Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic computer skills and ability to complete delivery documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong work ethic and dependability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Customer-focused mindset with professional communication skills. Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver's license required. Forklift certification preferred. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous delivery, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred. Agricultural, feed, or grain experience helpful but not required. Working Conditions
Position operates in indoor and outdoor environments and requires sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods. Employee may be exposed to dusty conditions, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions (from -20 to +100 degrees), and moderate noise levels. Position requires the ability to operate forklifts and delivery vehicles, lift up to sixty (60) pounds, bend, twist, and perform repetitive material-handling tasks. Employee must be willing to work seasonal hours, overtime, and occasional weekends as business needs require.
