Position Title Imaging (X-ray) Technologist in our Urgent Care Department
Location Upland Hills Health – Mt. Horeb Clinic
Role & Department Imaging Technologist in the Mt. Horeb Urgent Care Department
Hours & Shift Part-time to Full-time position working 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday with a weekend rotation
Role Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Imaging Technologist will work with the entire team to provide outstanding service and care to our patients.
Will produce high quality patient X-rays for the medical providers.
Will apply imaging services knowledge in producing quality results for patients.
Will assist patients in and out of examination rooms as needed.
Will maintain imaging equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and communicate with vendors and suppliers for repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed.
Provide outside entities results of digital exams as requested and directed.
Will communicate with Radiologists and medical team members as necessary.
Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Maintains all required QA logs and required checks of equipment.
Keep supplies and work area in an orderly fashion and supplied appropriately.
Ability to work well with others and be calm under pressure.
Will participate in organizational and departmental CQI activities.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an educational degree in a Radiography Program.
Have a current and valid Radiography license in the State of Wisconsin.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
At least one full year of prior Imaging Technologist working experience in a hospital, emergency/urgent care or clinic setting preferred.
Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required.
Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial.
