Position Title Part Time Design Checker-Electrical
Location Houston, TX
Position Description Perform senior level detail checking of electrical instrumentation design including complex designs and layouts of One Line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.
Essential Functions
Review vendor drawings and information.
Perform detail check of discipline drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
Read and comprehend PID’s.
Qualifications
Ability to work with Autocad and Navisworks.
30 or more years of experience in a drafting environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
Education
High school diploma. Associates Degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.
Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.
Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
