Our Bread Bakers are an integral part to our culinary operations. Because our kitchens make everything from scratch, including all of our specialty breads, our Bakers are responsible for efficiently portioning ingredients and preparing our recipes to our standards. What Our Bread Baker Does
Prepare food items, following standard recipes and procedures within a specified time
Read prep list and prep items, as assigned
Properly measure and assemble ingredients required to accurately follow recipe or instructions
Clean, organize, stock, and maintain work area, walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area, which may include bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and working with cleaning agents
Rinse and cut raw food products
Are punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
Contribute to a positive team environment
Move food in and out of industrial ovens and cook over an open flame
Taste, smell, and view food to ensure adherence to quality standards
What You Need To Be a Bread Baker
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen or bakery preferred
Passion for hospitality and food
Bread preparation experience helpful
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced, loud kitchen environment
High level of professionalism
Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Able to read and follow a recipe to standards
Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day in a confined area with fluctuating temperatures
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed
Continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
May be exposed to allergens, such as nuts, seeds, soy, shellfish, and dairy
