Math Teacher – Middle School (Full-Time) | 2026‑27 School Year
Madison Country Day School (MCDS), an independent Pre‑K–12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026‑27 academic year. The position begins in August 2026 and will serve 5th–8th grade students in the MYP Math program.

Position Overview Applicants should be passionate about teaching math, enthusiastic about engaging with middle‑school students, and knowledgeable about social‑emotional learning (SEL). Candidates must create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. The ideal educator is inquisitive, creative, optimisitic, flexible, and a team player.
Responsibilities
Be familiar with or willing to learn the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, particularly the framework for Math
Demonstrate strong proficiency in advanced mathematics and skill in making complex concepts accessible to middle‑school students
Contribute to the school’s extracurricular offerings and serve as a middle‑school advisor
Design and facilitate rigorous, empowering lesson plans that are student‑centered and thought‑provoking
Foster intellectual curiosity and inspire a love of learning in students
Exhibit excellent communication skills, genuine appreciation of adolescents, sense of humor, and collaboration within the school community
Believe in the intrinsic relationship between social‑emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy
Qualifications
Full eligibility to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
At least two years of teaching experience
Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills
Experience with the International Baccalaureate is welcome but not required

$70,000.00 – $80,000.00
