Responsible for transforming lives and championing engagement by helping youth achieve goals, make new friends and connect with our Y community through instruction of NinjaZone classes. Create a fun and safe environment where little ones can explore, move and grow. Use imaginative play and creative instruction to teach foundational skills such as balance, coordination and listening. Effectively build community within the class, helping youth build confidence, focus and independence while modifying classes as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs. Culture:

Instruct and lead high-energy, movement-based NinjaZone classes in accordance with NinjaZone curriculum. Review lesson plan, know instructional materials, set up space with appropriate equipment. Create a fun and safe environment where youth can explore, move and grow. Arrive early and stay after class to answer youth and family questions and set–up, if necessary. Clean up area and return materials after class. Keep accurate attendance records and totals. Administer program evaluations. Provide weekly feedback to youth through instruction and once per session through written progress report. Understand the needs and goals of participants and provide them with a positive, enjoyable environment in which they can achieve their goals. Provide quality NinjaZone class that begins and ends on time, follows the scheduled class format, and is at the proper intensity level by following the provided curriculum. Be courteous, friendly and greet members by name whenever possible. Respect the individual goals, needs and perspectives of each member. Demonstrate a genuine interest in, and dedication to improving the health, fitness, and futures of youth. Adhere to established association standards. Perform all other duties as necessary or assigned/directed by management. Key Leadership Competencies:
Functional Expertise, Developing Self & Others. Qualifications
Experience with young children (teaching, coaching, babysitting, daycare). In pursuit of High School Diploma (16 years of age and above). Must possess CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire. Willingness to be trained in NinjaZone curriculum within 30 days of hire. Regularly attend program training and meetings. Know and abide by center policies and procedures. Know and abide by center substitution policies, minimizing the use of substitutes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
