We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopaedic Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist orthopaedic surgeons in the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of orthopaedic procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and application of casts, splints, and braces for patients.
Support orthopaedic surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
Perform patient assessments and document relevant medical histories.
Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care and rehabilitation processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions to the medical team.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Orthopaedic Technician preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in orthopaedics, is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopaedic procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and transport.
Requires regular and predictable attendance.
