Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an LVA Electrical Test Technician – 1st Shift to join our team.
The hourly rate for this position is
$26.50 per hour .
Core hours: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm.
What You’ll Do The LVA Electrical Test Technician will set up, operate and maintain a variety of test equipment to perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical tests on a variety of control equipment under the supervision of an experienced tester.
In This Function You Will
Test equipment to ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements.
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others and follow safety procedures.
Continuously improve product and process knowledge, including additional classroom work, assigned reading, and training from an experienced tester.
Build positive relationships that support job objectives and foster a team environment.
Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; interface heavily with customers on witness tests under the guidance of an experienced tester.
Record data, write reports, and process paperwork accurately and on time.
Follow procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and strict attention to detail.
Troubleshoot and repair problems that occur during testing, such as warranty and non‑warranty issues, working with an experienced tester when needed.
Suggest improvements to test setups and procedures when current procedures are inadequate.
Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise.
Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications Required (basic) Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from an accredited institution.

Relocation is not available; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Avery Creek, NC facility.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems.
Position Criteria
Strong knowledge of fundamental electrical concepts: Basic Electricity, Motors and Controls, PLC Programming, AC/DC Fundamentals.
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
