BANK TEACHING ASSISTANT at Sedgemoor Manor School - specialist day school for children on autism spectrum/SPLD, 7‑19 years. Responsibilities
Work alongside class teachers to support pupils and young people in their work and learning. Assist with pupil engagement and learning, building good relationships and becoming a trusted adult. Support the implementation of individual programmes: teaching and learning, social and independence activities and experiences, and overall development. Assist with establishing good relationships, implementing strategies of pupil education and health care plans. Qualifications & Experience
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or carer is beneficial. Communication skills and passion required; willingness to learn with training provided. Experience supporting children with SLD and complex needs is an advantage. Emotionally available and resilient. Benefits
