Painter

Overview The primary role of Painter is to perform routine painting, wall covering and floor repairs or replacement. This role assists with routine maintenance of the department and may perform preventive and/or corrective work orders. System responsibilities include completing work orders and preventive maintenance assignments, responding to emergencies, and performing electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs as needed. The painter is also responsible for taking on‑call duties on a rotating basis to cover emergencies when no on‑site plant engineering coverage is available.

Responsibilities

Perform routine painting, wall covering, and floor repairs or replacement.

Assist with routine department maintenance.

Execute preventive and corrective work orders.

Respond to emergencies as they arise.

Perform electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs when required.

Serve on a rotating on‑call schedule for emergency coverage.

Qualifications Education

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – Required

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years of painting experience – Required

Experience in a commercial or healthcare setting – Preferred

Technical school training or apprenticeship program – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

None Required

Additional Licenses and Certifications

Valid Georgia driver’s license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 criteria – Preferred
