Join Hollywood Casino St. Louis as a Sportsbook Food Server in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. The role involves providing top‑notch customer service, managing cash transactions, and promoting casino events.
Shift & Compensation Shift: Varies Pay: $6.875 per hour plus tips Full‑time
Responsibilities
Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
Engage in friendly conversations with guests when possible, using the 10/5 rule: 10 feet – eye contact and smile, 5 feet – greet and speak.
Use guests’ names at least twice in every interaction.
Greet each guest entering the restaurant.
Operate the POS system, ring correct amounts, give proper change, and maintain cash integrity.
Keep the assigned work area clean and organized; support overall dining‑room cleanliness.
Resolve service issues using the service recovery toolbox.
Know and promote current casino events, programs, and directions to all casino areas.
Thank customers, invite them back, wish them luck, and help them easily return to play.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment preferred.
Previous cashiering experience in a high‑volume restaurant preferred.
Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Able to work at a fast pace in a crowded/noisy environment.
Accurately and quickly process all cash transactions.
Lift and carry up to 35 lbs (cash drawer, POS supplies, tables, chairs).
Reach above and below the shoulder, bend, stoop, twist while handling financial transactions; stand and walk for up to four hours.
Tolerate industry‑standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing; tolerate second‑hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
