Autism Support Technician (Behavior Technician) Position within Holding Hands Pediatric Therapy & Adult Services.

Overview We are looking for a passionate, entry‑level Behavior Technician to support children and teens with autism and developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The role involves one‑on‑one therapy sessions in clinics, homes, and community settings.

Location & Schedule Covina, CA. Sessions are scheduled within 20 miles or 30 minutes of your home. Part‑time position, 15–25+ hours per week.

Compensation $22.00–$28.00 per hour, dependent on experience and education.

Responsibilities

Work 1‑on‑1 with children and teens with autism and developmental needs.

Follow individualized therapy plans created by our clinical team.

Utilize play, routines, and activities to facilitate skill development.

Record behavior data and track progress.

Encourage independence and build life skills.

Celebrate progress and maintain a positive environment.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 6 months of experience with developmental disabilities.

Ability to lift at least 10 pounds, sit, and run as needed.

Reliable transportation and willingness to commute 20 miles or 30 minutes.

Passionate about working with youth with developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree.

ABA experience or RBT certification.

CPR certification for pediatrics and adults.

Experience managing maladaptive behaviors such as non‑compliance, elopement, aggression, self‑injurious behaviors, etc.
