Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious meals while adhering to dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served.
Portion and serve food to facility residents.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
Verify that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
One year of kitchen or food preparation experience.
Experience working with seniors is preferred.
Knowledge of sanitation rules.
Ability to understand recipes and calculate measurements.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Understanding or ability to learn the use of commercial kitchen equipment.
