About the Member Services Representative Role The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Daily Responsibilities

Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club, assisting them with any questions or concerns as they check in.

Help promote our Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance and showing support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.

Resolve member concerns and, when necessary, escalate to a Manager.

Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.

Perform membership related functions such as sign-ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances and transferring memberships.

Perform prospective member calls and tours; assessing their membership needs.

Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.

Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, ensuring all communal spaces and assigned areas are maintained.

Maintain clean, sanitized restrooms that are stocked and clutter‑free according to the routine cleaning schedule.

Conduct comprehensive weekly walks of all club areas; quickly resolve safety/policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.

Address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment (e.g., dispensers, leaky faucets, fixtures).

Qualifications / Requirements

Customer service background preferred.

Basic computer proficiency.

A passion for fitness and health.

Upbeat and positive attitude.

Punctuality and reliability is a must.

Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co‑workers, exceeding member expectations.

Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and solve problems.

Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

Continual standing and walking during shift.

Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
