Position Overview

Applications are sought for two committed Post-doctoral Research Fellows to work with Prof. Andrea Di Falco conducting research for an EPSRC funded project entitled 3D Nanoscale Metamaterials Hub for a Sustainable Future. The primary duties will be to design, fabricate, and characterise 3D metamaterials for optical computing and optical neural networks applications. The successful applicants will have a PhD in Physics or equivalent degrees with expertise in design, fabrication and/or characterisation of advanced linear and nonlinear materials and nanophotonic devices. Start Date: February 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter Fixed Term: 24 months The posts are available for 24 months starting Feb 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, and can be extended in alignment with performance and project requirements. Benefits
