About This Role The position supports faculty and research staff in the Center for Outcomes Research and Epidemiology (CORE) by conducting and assisting with knowledge-synthesis research focused on animal and population health, as well as other research and analytical projects.

What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a master's degree and two years of relevant experience. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess advanced research skills, data analysis expertise and scientific writing ability in order to independently execute complex research tasks, interpret findings and contribute to scholarly publications. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and intensive experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s or PhD degree in biology, animal science, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, computer science, or a closely related discipline. Experience with systematic or scoping reviews (or other structured knowledge-synthesis methods). Proficiency in R or Stata. Knowledge of experimental and observational study designs and analyses. Experience using linear and generalized linear regression models; preference for experience in mixed-effects modeling (Linear mixed models, Generalized linear mixed models). Experience synthesizing continuous and count outcomes using descriptive statistics and summarizing textual data in structured/tabular format. Familiarity with agricultural production systems, veterinary health, zoonoses, or wildlife ecology. Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and reproducible documentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage parallel tasks and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills for both scientific and applied audiences.
