Position Description Immediate opening for a NON CDL Yard Jockey at Ryder in Minooka, IL.

Pay:

$1100 or more per week. Driver Positions Pay Weekly.

Paid Training

Schedule: 5 Day Work Week

SOLO To: Yard Jockey

Route: Local Home Daily

Tractor Type: Yard Tractor

Trailer Type: Dry Van 48', 53’

Freight: No Touch – Drop and Hook

Fleet: Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Company Drivers fuel trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment:

9 months experience in the past 3 years, OR

2 years' experience within last 5 years, OR

5 years' experience within last 10 years

Pass a Ryder drug test

Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years)

Pass DOT physical

Pass yard driver examination

Valid driver's license

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard; cannot drive on public roads

Compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service

Additional Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards

Maintain accurate records and logs

Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records; other tasks as assigned
