Aerial Telecom Laborer – Kanaan Communications, LLC
Join our team as an Aerial Telecom Laborer and support an aerial telecom crew with the installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials.
What You’ll Do
Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
Ensure door‑tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
Work overtime, travel, and perform on‑call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
Perform work in all weather conditions.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Be 18 years of age or older.
Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified.
Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery.
Occasionally use ladder, keyboard, and mouse.
