After School Youth Counselor – Wake Forest
Pay range: $12.00/hr – $14.00/hr (based on skills and experience).
Job Summary
The After School Counselor helps plan, organize, and lead programs and activities for youth ages 5–18. This role supports a safe, fun, and structured environment that encourages members’ social, emotional, and educational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and leading structured social and recreational programs.
Organize assigned sports and recreation activities.
Support Club sites in achieving program goals and objectives.
Build positive relationships with staff, parents, and members.
Enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and policies fairly.
Track and monitor member participation in program areas.
Assist with individual sports programs as needed.
Provide instruction and actively engage with youth during activities.
Encourage growth in members’ social, emotional, and educational development.
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience
Experience planning and running youth programs.
Background in working directly with youth.
Skills
Enjoys working with youth ages 5–18.
Strong group management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate young people.
