Special Education Co‑Teacher/Paraprofessional – Discovery Health Sciences Schools
Location: Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD), Baton Rouge, LA.
Role Overview: Full‑time, entry‑level partnership with the special education lead teacher in general and special education class settings to support students with special needs in the Lower School (PreK‑4th).
Responsibilities
Partner with the special education lead teacher in general and special education class settings.
Support children with special needs in classrooms.
Deliver a variety of accommodations in multiple settings.
Collaborate with various teachers and school leaders.
Advocate for student needs.
Qualifications
Job‑related Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
Experience delivering accommodations in multiple settings.
Strong collaboration and advocacy skills.
School‑related experience desired.
Willingness to participate in workshops and summer training.
